YASHIKI Setsuen Skipper Knit (Snow Smoke) BROWN

I envisioned a scene where a painfully strong wind whips up the accumulated snow.
The waffle pattern and horizontal stripes on the shoulders represent snow-covered fields and roads, while the vertical stripes on the base depict the fallen snow being blown around by the wind.
Using a technique called plating knitting, where different yarns are used for the front and back sides, and by changing the yarn color on the front and back, a two-color knitting technique was used to create a textured and layered look.
It uses a smooth, lustrous, shrink-resistant yarn made from a blend of fine wool from New Zealand and Australian merino wool.
To create a soft, relaxed look with dropped shoulders when worn, YASHIKI has incorporated a classic kimono pattern as an homage to this design.
The brand's iconic [Yagasuri] pattern is featured at the base of the sleeves.
Compared to last year's product, the armholes and sleeves are slimmer.

The landscapes and culture of Ishikawa Prefecture, the designer's hometown, played a significant role in the design.
The brand incorporates patterns and details that evoke the culture of their hometown, such as the Tedorigawa River and rural landscapes, into knitwear, expressing the scenes and local feel through simple yet elegant craftsmanship.

The rain that had been wetting the roads black gradually turned into snow, slowly painting them white. Will this snow accumulate?
My heart leaped with joy at the first snow of the year. The snow fluttered down from the leaden sky, softly enveloping the fields and houses. The silvery snow shimmered, sometimes blue, sometimes red, coloring the town. Rain began to mix with the falling snow, breaking down the dark snow on the side of the road into smaller pieces. Winter is almost over, I suppose.
I wonder if it'll snow again.
