This piece is inspired by the abundant flow of pure meltwater from Mt. Hakusan. The pattern from the shoulders to the hem of the body represents snow and ice, while the pattern on the sides of the body represents melting snow and flowing. The vertical stripes in the center of the body represent the abundant flow of the Tedori River. The fine irregularities of the pique knit on the sleeves represent the rough, icy snow at the end of winter. Using a technique called plating knitting, which uses different yarns on the front and back sides, we have created a two-tone knit with different colors, creating a textured look. This piece pays homage to the classic YASHIKI kimono pattern, with dropped shoulders for a soft look when worn. The cuffs feature the brand's iconic "Yagasuri" pattern. Patterns and details evocative of his hometown's culture, such as the Tedori River and rural landscapes, are incorporated into the knitwear, expressing the scenery and local feel felt through simple yet elegant craftsmanship.
