Inspired by the "two-stone thong" design found in traditional Japanese sandals, where two thongs are arranged parallel to each other, the "unda DUAL" has been updated for modern times. This shoe features a double-layered thong and a three-dimensional sole design.

What catches the eye is the double-layered thong, which combines different materials. The inside uses PU suede that is gentle on the skin, not only enhancing the design but also pursuing a secure hold and comfortable fit for the foot.
The stable and comfortable fit provided by the two thongs offers a new sensation unlike anything seen in previous unda sandals.

The midsole, which supports the foot, adopts a new structure called "DUAL sole" that boldly protrudes from the conventional form. By spreading out three-dimensionally, it adds a visual sense of volume.

Of course, Goyemon's signature cushioning remains intact, providing a comfortable fit that you can confidently choose for both city walks and long-distance travel.

Another detail that symbolizes this model is the "overlapping brand tag." The double brand tags on the left and right heels serve as a design accent that embodies the name "DUAL."

Among the DUAL series, "BLACK GUM" stands out with its particularly refined appearance.
These sneakers feature an all-black design with a subtle brown outsole for added detail.

The upper part of the thong uses a lightweight yet highly durable ripstop material, while the lower part uses a synthetic leather material with a subtle sheen. The double thong with different textures adds contrast. The accumulation of goyemon's signature details gives depth to both the appearance and functionality. The footbed uses highly durable polyurethane. This material, which is resistant to abrasion and does not easily wear out even after long hours of wear, provides reliable stability for your daily steps. The surface is intentionally left with a matte texture, resulting in a finish that conforms smoothly to the soles of your feet. The sole is a black DUAL midsole. Beneath that is a brown outsole reminiscent of a gum sole, which adds a somewhat nostalgic and street-style touch to the overall refined impression.

goyemon is a product design unit formed in 2018 by Ai Onishi and Kenta Takeuchi.
"We steal the standard." We will steal your common sense. The brand name is a play on words with Ishikawa Goemon, the greatest thief in Japan, and a certain third-generation great thief also said this: "Great art and thievery are alike."
Both know how to steal people's hearts. Ishikawa Goemon used a "kasugai" (a type of metal clamp) as a means to steal gold and silver treasures, but Goyemon uses "design" to steal people's hearts. Focusing on traditional Japanese culture, Goyemon started its activities with the desire to "let younger generations and people around the world know about Japanese traditions and attractive products." By creating products that fuse "Japanese tradition x cutting-edge technology," they are developing products that fit into modern life and allow people to feel closer to tradition. We hope that this will be an opportunity for people to experience Japanese culture.

A fusion of traditional Japanese techniques and cutting-edge modern technology. A completely new type of footwear that combines the features of traditional Japanese sandals (setta) and sneakers. The midsole has been adjusted to the optimal level of softness and hardness, and the addition of an air sole further reduces impact while walking.
