From "intch." The pullover shirt "Est," made from "Higasaki" cotton Burberry cloth, has arrived.
A piece that reconstructs a vintage farmers' smock with spirited details.
The front features four buttons with a half plackette, and box pleats connect the gap stops, with gathers under the back yoke and cuffs for a more labor-intensive design.
The design inherited from early 1900s French antiques combined with fabrics reproducing Edo techniques from Japan, blending different countries and eras beautifully elevates the shirt into an intch. style.
Cotton-Burberry cloth is dyed using traditional dyeing machines and techniques called "Higashi-zaki," which still improve production efficiency in Tokyo's downtown areas.
Nowadays, dyeing techniques have improved and many factories can provide stable dyeing, but cotton—which is considered difficult to dye—is cooked in a small kiln to create a swelling before coloring—a special technique passed down from the Edo period to finish.
This material has a very distinctive character, featuring a slightly natural texture and color, a bulge, randomly engraved large and small wrinkles, and a uniquely bouncing texture.
We sew with 21 stitches and 60 count of yarn.
While high-end dress shirts typically have about 18 stitches per 3cm, this one features 21 stitches for finer stitching.
The finer the stitching, the more delicate the technique required, and the number of sewing machines that can handle it becomes limited.
To achieve these specifications, the shirts are sewn at one of Japan's top specialized shirt factories in Nagasaki, equipped with skilled artisans and specialized equipment.
Not only are they highly skilled, but they also change sewing methods based on extensive sewing data from the past, depending on the fabric and design, making it a top-tier factory that symbolizes Japan's advanced technical skill.
It offers skilled and reliable skills, sensibility, and sewing equipment unique to this place.
On the other hand, they do not actively promote their products and only accept jobs through referrals from trustworthy business partners, producing only a limited number of brands.

Compared to typical Japanese sizes, the width is designed to be wider, but it's not as big as a big silhouette, and the length isn't too long, so it looks great on its own, and the balance when layering is easy for a delicate sizing.
