Description
Modern functional beauty, stripped of all unnecessary elements.
A product that embodies the very essence of what a product should be.
A one-of-a-kind metal frame that shines with quiet individuality and craftsmanship.
NOCHINO OPTICAL presents the ultimate minimalist metal frame, bringing together the craftsmanship of artisans from Sabae, Japan's world-renowned eyewear manufacturing center.
We completely eliminated ornamentation such as metal engraving and arabesque patterns, pursuing a timeless and genderless functional beauty.
The frames are all made of titanium, a material that is lightweight and highly durable.
In particular, the front rim uses a 0.9mm thick titanium rim, rather than the 1.0mm thick rim commonly used in Sabae-made eyeglasses.
This achieves both a clean, streamlined appearance when viewed from the front and excellent durability.
The temples are made of β-titanium, which combines flexibility and elasticity. Its supple flexibility allows it to naturally fit the wearer's face, providing a comfortable fit even during prolonged wear.
Furthermore, the spoon shape at the tip of the temples combines aesthetic appeal with stability and comfort around the ear.
The hinge section, which is the heart of the frame, employs a "split-end joint structure," a traditional manufacturing method where it is precisely cut from a single piece of metal, resulting in a robustness and beauty that can only be achieved through the handcrafted work of skilled artisans.
Furthermore, it features adjustable nose pads and titanium nose pads.
The nose pads are made from allergy-free material, and because they are a part that comes into direct contact with the skin, comfort and safety have been prioritized in every detail.
The frame shape is neither Wellington, Boston, nor square; it's a unique silhouette developed by NOCHINO OPTICAL.
The inspiration came from eyewear unearthed at a vintage market in France. From there, we refined it into a universal shape that suits both Asian facial features and Caucasian bone structure.
The lens size is perfectly balanced, making it ideal even for people with severe myopia.
NOCHINO OPTICAL's signature 2-curve lenses are neither flat nor conventionally curved, but feature a beautiful curved surface and glossy finish. They express a depth and sense of luxury reminiscent of hand-carved glass lenses of yesteryear.
#1. PLUTINUM SILVER × CLEAR to D.GREY
Lens: 2-curve Body: Frame size 46mm, Bridge width 19mm, Temple length 145mm
#1. PLUTINUM SILVER × CLEAR to D.GREY. UV transmission rate 5% or less. Due to being handmade by craftsmen in Sabae, there may be individual differences. Please understand that there may be slight distortions or imperfections due to the handmade nature of the product when you receive it.
If you notice any distortion or other issues, please take them to your nearest optician or consult with our Minami-Aoyama main store.
Photochromic lenses generally have a lifespan of about three years, although this can vary depending on usage frequency and environment.
Please be aware that the performance may deteriorate with frequent use under UV light, or use and storage in high-temperature environments (such as saunas, baths, or inside cars).
Generally, NOCHINO's photochromic lenses are ordered in batches exclusively for our own products each season, but there may be very slight differences in photochromic performance due to differences in seasonal batches.
Not a full moon, but the one before a full moon.
The Japanese people consider the moon just before its fullness to be the ideal.
The beauty of incompleteness, the beauty of unfinishedness, the beauty of negative space.
It is through the 13th month, the subsequent lack of months, that we see the emergence of things that cannot be expressed in terms of completeness or satisfaction.
By considering how to make what is lacking beautiful,
It evokes a sense of satisfying beauty in people.
Like the thirteenth moon, or the later moon, eyeglasses are incomplete once they leave the craftsman's hands.
We offer our products as the 13th month.
In the Heian period, when The Tale of Genji was created, people were sensitive to the seasons and wore colors that were "appropriate for the season."
Incorporating it into daily life was a pastime of the nobility.
Enjoy the pleasure of wearing colors appropriate for the season in the modern age.
Each piece is completed only when it is anastomosed with its unique owner, a testament to the craftsmanship of Fukui and Sabae.
