Riprap POLO SHAPED SH L/S (COTTON POPLIN STRIPE)

Riprap's polo-shaped shirt (cotton poplin stripe).
A shirt created by directly incorporating the shape of a polo shirt into a woven shirt. This is when considering Japan's recent climate, "This is bad. I can't even wear polo shirts in the middle of summer..."
I've always loved and worn the heavyweight polos I've made so far, so I planned this style hoping to express that feeling through a shirt.

To express the cut-and-sew silhouette, the pattern makeup minimizes the difference between shoulder and body width.
If you look closely, the collar is slightly rounded in color. This is inspired by knitted polo collars. The shallow slit at the front gives a different impression compared to a pullover shirt. This is another dimension unique to polo shirts.
The fabric uses cotton poplin, which feels soft to the touch.
A striped shirt fabric with vertical stripes is reverse-cut (cut horizontally) in a striped stripe pattern. The colors are navy and white.
The sewing specification features very fine stitching with 24 stitches per 3cm. The sides are finished with a sewing method called folded stitch, where the fabric edges are not visible, with a width of 2-3mm. The cuffs are just slipped in. Constructed solely with flash cores without any adhesive cores... and other dress shirt features.
In early spring, you can wear it under a jacket, or when it gets warmer, you can unbutton it up and wear it for a relaxed look—a 'pseudo-polo shirt styled like a dress shirt.'
Polo shirts are essential for summer outfits. Enjoy the breathtaking quality that you can't experience with knitted fabrics.
