WORKERS Lounge Jacket, 8oz GR Back Denim

WORKERS' classic rough and tough Lounge Jacket is back after two years. The denim is 8 oz, and it's a set with the Officer Trousers. There's no sleeve lining. It's a jacket that can be worn casually, and after washing it, it will develop puckering and can be worn roughly like a coverall. It's not too thick or too heavy, so you can wear it comfortably from early autumn. The sturdy feel of the 10 oz is also nice, but it takes quite a while to break in. So this season we chose 8 oz. The denim uses weft threads that are lightly dyed gray. Unlike the usual denim where the weft threads are the natural color of cotton, the overall tone is more subdued. We thought this slightly more subdued tone would suit the set-up jacket and trousers better. However, of course, dyeing the threads increases the cost. That's why it's a little more expensive than chinos. The Wool Cotton Tweed is a herringbone tweed that WORKERS specially ordered this season. Wool in the warp and cotton in the weft. It's about 9 ounces. I had to order a custom tweed fabric because it's hard to find the perfect one in the fabric supplier's lineup. I wanted something a bit more substantial than just 100% wool, so I used cotton for the weft. However, it turned out lighter than I expected. But that's fine too, as it's easy to wear. Of course, I also had the idea that it might be cheaper than 100% wool. Lately, everything is too expensive. Clothes made in Japan are becoming too expensive for customers to afford, so I tried to find a way to keep costs down while creating a different feel from the standard 100% wool. This fabric is the only one with a smooth polyester twill lining in the sleeves. WORKERS also makes fully lined jackets for autumn and winter, such as the Maple Leaf Jacket, but the Lounge Jacket has a slightly looser fit and wider sleeves. I aimed to create a jacket that can be worn "casually" and "instead of coveralls." I myself often wear the Lounge Jacket on days when I'm working at the office, as I often do physically demanding work. Cotton chino and denim fabrics are already washed. Wool-cotton tweed fabrics are delivered unwashed and in the New Year's Warmth. 8oz 100% cotton denim.
