WORKERS USN Baker Vintage Fit Brown Back Denim

They were made based on vintage clothing commonly known as "US Navy Baker Pants." (Below is USN Baker for easy understanding) Tracing the original, the overall silhouette closely resembles the "Trousers, Cotton, Sateen," or so-called bakers. But there are also differences. The so-called Baker doesn't have darts, instead using a waist button to use them as darts, whereas the USN Baker has darts on the back. The front pocket is similarly shaped, but the USN Baker is tapped against the back. The band part is also similar to the regular Baker, with the body continuing as is and the back side has a flap, while the USN Baker has a separate part attached in a band-like form. The rear pocket is similar to the USN Baker without flaps, but the specifications differ slightly. However, because the shape of the front pocket is very similar and the deadstock pieces found in the past bear the familiar US Navy military label, it is probably called a "US Navy Baker" or something similar. The denim material is 10 ounces. The weft has a brownish tint, so the overall look is deep black. This is the design seen in old military denim, so I don't know if the weft threads were deliberately colored, or if the yarn was made from colored cotton and the color ended up "messed up." But certainly, when you look at old military denim, the whole thing is very black. The tone is sunk, and even if it gets a little dirty, it doesn't stand out. I made the "Brown Back Denim" by imitating that fabric. Back satin is a familiar Baker. Originally, about 15 years ago, I had someone at a certain fabric shop make it based on the specifications of the original MIL-C-10296J. The fabric weight, the number of threads per inch, and the way the threads cross. I referred to the specs saying that the yarn would use card yarn, and at that time, I dyed the fabric with sulfide dye. Initially, sulfide dyes faded unusually well, but after the dye was discontinued, sulfide dyes were used to resist color fading. Furthermore, sulfide dyes themselves were almost completely obsolete, and now they are dyed with slen dyes. Slanne dyeing generally resists color fading, but when the patching area is rubbed and the fabric wears down, fuzz becomes and shadows appear. The overall look doesn't turn whitish, and the contrasting shadows emerge. The Vintage Fit is the original I referenced, with a hem width of 25 cm. The fabric doesn't cling to your feet, so it's cool. The waist area of Slim Fit is exactly the same as Vintage Fit. The area below the crotch is tapered, and for this 20 cm wide hem shape, it's a line that could be called 'Slim.' The product has been sold out.
