It looks like a sweater, but it's actually a cotton cut-and-sew jacket. It looks like a sweater, but the great thing is that you can wash it without worry. The body is made of extra-thick jersey. The fabric is knitted the same way as T-shirt fabric, but by inserting several thick yarns into needles, it achieves a thickness similar to a low-gauge sweater. This year, this jersey is completely brushed. Brushing does add warmth, but it inevitably causes the shirt worn underneath to catch on the canvas. Naturally, the cost of the napped content also increases. Unlike the three-layer structure of sweatshirts (lining) with front, middle, and lining, jerseys have a single-layer structure with only the front thread. If you brush too much, the strength drops, but you need to brush it to some extent to notice the difference. After much deliberation, this year I decided to make a non-brushed one. The result... hmm~ I have to compare it with the brushed one to know. What were all those weird struggles all this time...? Raglan, originally a Johnstons cashmere/16PLY sweater, is an unbelievably thick sweater. The relaxed body and the needle-removed ribs are cute. It's perfect for wearing over a shirt, but 16PLY cashmere is so thick that it's only suitable for wearing in the middle of winter, January to February. I used the shape as a reference for WORKERS' cotton sweater series. The raglan sleeves are thick, so there's zero tightness. Worn over a T-shirt, it doesn't get prickly.
