Hitech originated from squash shoes in the UK in 1974.
The hiking shoe "Sierra," released in 1978, introduced the concept of "lightweight" to outdoor shoes that had previously been heavy and commonplace, gaining popularity. At the time, the outdoor boom was also becoming a major topic in Japan.
Since then, it has expanded its lineup from trekking shoes for climbers aiming for high peaks to camping shoes for outdoor play. It is an outdoor lifestyle brand loved by many outdoor enthusiasts.
