When the Berlin Wall fell, Peter Brunsberg, who was born in East Germany, was a 16-year-old boy who was training hard every day in order to join the Berlin National Ballet. With the fall of the wall, all of his life plans under socialism were wiped out, and while pondering what to do next, at the age of 20 he was attracted to an American bicycle messenger he saw on television, and together with two friends he started Germany's first messenger service. At the time, they were using messenger bags imported from America, but they started making their own original bags by copying what they saw. Their bags, which addressed the problems of existing bags, became popular among professional messengers, and Bagjack was founded 22 years ago. The company continues to make custom bags for professional messengers, but its flexibility in trying out different materials and designs has earned it recognition, and its products are also sold as fashion bags in select shops around the world. The reason for its enduring popularity is that, regardless of the design or material, the company never compromises on the standards that allow professional messengers to use its products as work tools. In addition to its own bag brand, the company also designs and supervises production of bags for Stone Island, develops bags and accessories for the Hollywood film industry, develops equipment for the German government and military's SP and special forces, and designs bags for several listed German companies, highlighting its role as an industrial design workshop. Bagjack products are certainly appreciated in Japan and several other Asian countries, but they are still produced in Berlin, the capital of Germany, and although they can be expensive, it cannot be denied that the production capacity to meet market demand is lacking. Therefore, we decided to launch a brand in collaboration with a trusted partner for the production of bags. BAICYCLON by Bagjack is a capsule collection that was created in consultation with the German side, starting with the specifications of the base fabric, and is reasonably priced while retaining the functionality and DNA of Bagjack.
