Champion Reverse Weave® 1st Patent Model Crewneck Sweatshirt TRUE TO ARCHIVES C3-U037

This is a crewneck sweatshirt, a 1st patent model that revives the very first "REVERSE WEAVE®," which was developed in 1934 and for which a manufacturing patent was obtained in 1938.
The "REVERSE WEAVE®" manufacturing method was devised by Sam Friedland, a salesman with experience working as a cutter at Hickey Freeman, a long-established menswear store in America. After customers pointed out that their clothes were shrinking after washing, he experimented and refined the method to solve the problem.
We successfully reduced shrinkage by using fabric that is normally used vertically in a horizontal direction.
This reissue faithfully reproduces the original manufacturing method, which involved creating patterns from a single piece of fabric without any seams at the shoulder, as well as the seamless shoulder construction.
The collar label from that time, which did not yet say "REVERSE WEAVE®," has also been reproduced.
The print uses the design of an actual vintage product. Furthermore, the absence of the C logo patch on the left sleeve is also a faithful reproduction of the original design.
