Description

Kiriko x Double Wall Glass "Fuwan"
Color: BENIFUJI・ROKUSHOU (Red Wisteria/Greenish Blue)
Price: 14,630 JPY (2 pair set)

[Red Wisteria]
This color was popular in the late Edo period.
The dyeing process involves a light underdye with indigo and a top coat of crimson, resulting in a reddish wisteria color.
It's a lustrous purple, yet it also has a gentle and warm feel to it.
[Verdigris]
The color of rust produced when copper oxidizes.
Verdigris is a representative Japanese color that has been used since ancient times to color buildings and sculptures.
The set with "Beni Fuji" is like a hydrangea that brings a radiance to the gloom of the rainy season.

The cut glass design incorporates the Shippo (seven treasures) pattern.
This pattern, featuring motifs of treasures and flower petals, is considered auspicious because the circles overlap endlessly, symbolizing harmony, completeness, and the interconnectedness of relationships.
The cloisonné pattern was created over 100 years ago and is still used in various decorative applications today.
The bottom of the "Fuwan" bowl features a chrysanthemum pattern.
This pattern, which is said to have been loved by the aristocracy since the Heian period, embodies a splendid and elegant meaning, as its flower language is "nobility."

A fusion of cut glass and double-walled glass.
These cut glass glasses combine the beauty and functionality of traditional cut glass, creating the illusion that they are floating.
That is "Fuwan - Floating Bowl -".
We've incorporated the allure of cut glass into a design and functionality that seamlessly integrates into modern life.
Bring the charm of cut glass into your home.
Five features of "Fuwan"

Feature ① Microwave safe.
Feature ② It doesn't get hot even when held with bare hands.
Feature ③ Less prone to condensation.
Feature ④ Keeps food hot or cold for longer periods.
Feature 5: A completely new design.
Traditional glasses condense due to the rapid temperature difference between the beverage inside and the outside air.
However, because "Fuwan" is made of double-walled glass, it is less prone to temperature differences between the inside and outside, and therefore less likely to condense.
Because it's a double-walled glass, it retains the temperature of your drink better than conventional glasses.
Because the ice in cold drinks melts slowly and the ice in hot drinks stays warm for a long time, you can enjoy the fresh taste for an extended period.
By deliberately increasing the distance between the inner and outer layers of glass, we maximize the functionality of double-walled glass.
The shadows cast by the cut glass enclosed within the dish adorn the dining table and evoke a sense of nostalgia.
Traditionally, cutting the heat-resistant glass used in double-walled glass has been considered technically difficult.
However, driven by the desire to create a product that would make the charm of cut glass more accessible, we went through a process of trial and error, and finally succeeded in updating it into a "next-generation cut glass" by incorporating the modern technology of a double-wall structure.

[Handling Precautions]
Glass is fragile. Please handle with care when washing or using.
Do not place over an open flame.
Rapid cooling of glass can cause it to break. Do not touch it with a wet cloth or place it in a wet place while it is hot.
Please wash before use.
Do not use items that have cracks, chips, or deep scratches, as they may break unexpectedly.
・When handling the product in case of damage, please be extremely careful to avoid injury.
When disposing of the product, please follow the instructions of your local municipality regarding sorting.
When cleaning, use a soft sponge and a mild detergent.
Do not use cleansers, abrasives that can scratch the glass, or sponges with abrasive particles. This may cause damage.
When using ice, please place it slowly into the glass. Placing it in forcefully may cause breakage.
Do not strike or rub the inside of the glass with a metal spoon or similar object. This may cause damage.
- The outer bottom surface is sealed with adhesive for manufacturing reasons. Cutting it out may create a hole.
Each of these products is handcrafted by artisans, so there will be individual variations (size, tilt, cut, color unevenness, etc.).

goyemon is a product design unit formed in 2018 by Ai Onishi and Kenta Takeuchi.
"We steal the standard." We will steal your common sense. The brand name is a play on words with Ishikawa Goemon, the greatest thief in Japan, and a certain third-generation great thief also said this: "Great art and thievery are alike."
Both know how to steal people's hearts. Ishikawa Goemon used a "kasugai" (a type of metal clamp) as a means to steal gold and silver treasures, but Goyemon uses "design" to steal people's hearts. Focusing on traditional Japanese culture, Goyemon started its activities with the desire to "let younger generations and people around the world know about Japanese traditions and attractive products." By creating products that fuse "Japanese tradition x cutting-edge technology," they are developing products that fit into modern life and allow people to feel closer to tradition. We hope that this will be an opportunity for people to experience Japanese culture.

A fusion of traditional Japanese techniques and cutting-edge modern technology. A completely new type of footwear that combines the features of traditional Japanese sandals (setta) and sneakers. The midsole has been adjusted to the optimal level of softness and hardness, and the addition of an air sole further reduces impact while walking.
Following the tradition of regularly switching the footwear to extend its lifespan, the design features a central thong, making it possible to wear the sandals on either foot.
While inheriting traditions passed down through generations in Japan, we elevate them into designs that are adapted to the modern climate, trends, and culture.
A pair of sandals that completely redesigns the traditional Japanese geta sandal.
