Nanga was founded in 1941 by the predecessor, Akira Yokota, from the production area of Omi pure cotton futons.
The company name comes from the 8,000-meter peak "Nanga Barbat" in the Himalayas. Located in Maibara City, Shiga Prefecture, at the foot of Mount Ibuki, we are a 74-year-old domestic manufacturer of domestic "down products."
Nanga Parbat is the ninth highest in the world at 8,126 meters and is also feared as the 'Man-Eating Mountain.' It refers to a mountain that has suffered many lost lives and is difficult to climb, and the company name embodies the founder's wish: "Because it's difficult, we will do it, and everyone will climb where they should."
