WORKERS FWP Trousers, OD Poplin

"Fatigue Trousers Without Cargo Pocket" becomes "FWP Trousers." It sounds very much like Japanese-made English. This year's FWP is basically just fatigue pants with the side pockets removed. The front is also a button fly. The only difference is that the drawstring at the hem is not secured with a bar tack, so it can be removed. If you don't like drawstrings at the hem, just remove them. Originally, a long time ago, I made baker pants out of chambray. They didn't sell very well, but a few years after they were released, I got a call inquiring, "I really want another pair of chambray baker pants that I bought a long time ago! They're so cool!!" I thought, "Certainly, pants made from 5-ounce class chambray would be cool," but the strength of the fabric is less than that of 10-ounce types. Therefore, the fabric will tear unless it has a loose silhouette like baker pants. With that in mind, I made fatigue pants separately. Come to think of it, fatigue pants are also made of poplin of about 6 ounces... so I removed the side pockets from these and turned them into regular "pants." But what about pants that retain the waist buckle so you can wear them without a belt in the summer? That's where the FWP Trousers come in. I was a little worried because the original source isn't clear, like "fatigue" or "baker" trousers, but they're perfect for this hot summer. They've been well-received and have been a product we've been able to continue selling for many years. In the middle of summer, I almost exclusively wear either these FWP trousers or Summer Trousers, which are based on the FWP but with the waist buckle removed. The key point is that I only feel like wearing them in the middle of summer; in the fall, they definitely feel cold, so I switch to baker pants, chinos, and then jeans when it's even colder. You can feel the changing seasons through your trousers. That's the WORKERS lineup. The products are already washed. The inspiration for the FWP Trousers comes from the 6-ounce cotton poplin used in "fatigue trousers." Because it's a plain weave, it has a firmer feel than light chinos.
