WORKERS Pullover BD, Corduroy, Brown

I wear button-down shirts for half the year, or rather, about 80% of the time in winter. In spring and summer, if it's hot, I often leave the front of my shirt open and wear it as a jacket. But in winter, I always keep it closed. I often wear a sweater over it too. So, wouldn't a pullover be more suitable for winter? Since there's no front closure, my stomach wouldn't get cold (I'm in my late 40s and I'm always worried about things like that). So, I made pullover button-down shirts in various fabrics. The base is a modified button-down shirt, but since the front of a pullover doesn't move at all, it would be too tight as is. I've adjusted the pattern to make the waist area less constricting and create a more relaxed silhouette around the torso. The finished product is NW, delivered unwashed. The sample was sun-dried in OW before taking measurements. None of the fabrics shrink significantly. Since it's the autumn/winter season, I used corduroy that looks warm because of its brushed finish. It's about 5 ounces, almost the same thickness as oxford cloth, so it goes well with any outerwear. Freeport and their customers had been asking me for a while to make a corduroy button-down shirt, but I never made one because I didn't really wear them myself. I wondered what color would be best if I were to make one, and while looking through the old clothes I had at the office... I found an LL Bean corduroy shirt. It was this brown one. So I decided to go with brown. Now that it's finished, I think it has a nice, wintery feel to it.
