It is a plain weave fabric made with medium-fine hemp yarn woven at the highest possible density in both the warp and weft directions. After weaving, the fabric is subjected to a Nidom process, which intentionally shrinks the fabric significantly and creates an uneven surface. Additionally, the rubbing of the fabric surface during the process softens the nap, giving it a moist, brushed feel.
