Description
This shirt embodies "Artisan," with meticulous attention to every aspect of material, sewing, and dyeing, just as the name suggests.
KANEMASA PHIL.'s unique 46-gauge super high-gauge knitting machine knits jersey fabric, using 100% recycled Svincotton from 80/1.
By printing stripes on the fabric that has undergone shrinkage treatment, we have created a new material that combines a unique grained texture and pattern expression.
It features a unique material texture with an unparalleled sense of depth and three-dimensionality.
Afterward, product dyeing (garment dyeing) is applied, and a special soft dyeing process enhances the natural drape and sheer feel of the material.
During the drying process, each piece is naturally dried one by one, carefully finishing without compromising the texture of the fabric.
Combining the lightness unique to high-gauge material with high stretch, it offers a comfortable fit you won't want to let go once you slip the sleeves on.
We propose it as a new classic material that can be worn effortlessly.
We pay close attention to every detail in the sewing process, carefully crafting thin, difficult-to-handle high-gauge materials in skilled domestic sewing factories.
The hem, cuffs, and pockets are intentionally left raw, while gathers are applied to the yoke and cuffs to achieve both a sense of craftsmanship and delicacy.
The details are designed based on the dress shirt. The buttons use butterfly buttons, and the back is engraved with the brand.
The boxy silhouette with room is also one of its distinctive features. The beautiful drape that emerges when worn is a unique charm of this material.
Additionally, by minimizing the use of raw fabric and interlining, the silhouette is created while preserving the natural texture of the fabric.
The brand's iconic Artisan Shirt now features a new striped pattern.
This piece lets you enjoy the texture of the material and the depth of the pattern.
*Salt shrinking treatment: This process allows chemicals to penetrate the fabric and shrink it, creating a unique texture or grainy texture on the fabric surface.
*Because organic cotton is used, contamination (contamination of foreign fibers) may be observed.
Please understand that this is a unique texture of the material.
*Due to the nature of the product, minor fraying or damage may be observed.
Also, changes may occur with repeated wear and washing, so please handle with care.

This shirt embodies the spirit of “Artisan” in every sense of the word, with meticulous attention to detail in every aspect—from the fabric and construction to the dyeing process. KANEMASA PHIL. knits the jersey fabric using its proprietary 46-gauge super highgauge knitting machine, made from 100% 80/1 recycled spun cotton. By printing a stripe pattern onto the salt-shrunk fabric, we have created a new material where a unique textured feel and pattern coexist. It features a one-of-a-kind texture with unparalleled three-dimensionality and depth. The fabric is then garment-dyed and treated with a special softening process to further accentuate its natural drape and sheer quality. Each piece is air-dried individually to ensure a careful finish that preserves the fabric’s texture. Combining the lightness and high stretch typical of high-gauge fabrics, it offers a comfortable fit that you won’t want to take off once you put it on. We present it as a new staple fabric that you can effortlessly throw on. We’ve paid meticulous attention to every detail in the construction as well, carefully crafting this thin, difficult-to-handle high-gauge fabric at a skilled domestic sewing factory. We’ve intentionally left the hems, cuffs, and pockets raw-edged, while adding gathers to the yoke and cuffs to achieve a balance of craftsmanship and delicacy. The details are designed with a dress shirt as the foundation. We’ve used mother - of-pearl buttons, each engraved with the brand logo on the reverse side. Another defining feature is the relaxed boxy silhouette. The beautiful drape that forms when worn is a unique charm of this fabric. Furthermore, by minimizing the use of interlining and embracing raw-edge finishes, we’ve constructed the silhouette while highlighting the fabric’s inherent texture. A new stripe pattern has been added to the Artisan Shirt, a staple of our brand. This piece allows you to fully appreciate the fabric’s character and the depth of the pattern. *Salt-shrink processing This process involves saturating the fabric with a chemical solution to cause it to shrink, creating a unique textured, crinkled surface. *Since organic cotton is used, you may notice some contamination (the presence of foreign fibers). Please understand that this is a characteristic of the material. *Due to the nature of the product, minor fraying or damage may be present. Additionally, the garment may change over time with repeated wear and washing, so please handle with care.
This is a new development for my favorite item. It has a striped pattern.
I deliberately expressed that with prints. When printed with print, wrinkles disappear and the texture becomes smooth, so I adjusted the heat temperature at a print factory in Kyoto to create the product.
It took another year to actually do this. Since it was full of new experiences, I made it while coming up with various ideas.
The fabric is thin, so at first glance it doesn't look printed, which is nice. Honestly, it's a masterpiece.
From next season, you'll be wearing artisan stripes with more developed jacquards, The artisan printed is now a piece you rarely see anymore.
I hope it becomes a rare item.
Starting this season, we have updated the sewing factory even more.
The design of the cuffs, how to add gathers, The stitching and other details have been finely tweaked, giving it an even more relaxed atmosphere... BR>
