Description

From the materials to the sewing and dyeing processes, KANEMASA PHIL. has created its own unique 46G super high-gauge jersey fabric, meticulously crafted with attention to every detail, just as the name suggests.
Made with 100% recycled 80/1 Suvin cotton.
The fabric was treated with a salt shrinkage process.
This material, with its unique textured surface, is one of a kind and unlike anything else.
After that, the garment is dyed.
The fabric has been dyed using a special softening dyeing process to enhance its drape and sheer quality.
Each item is air-dried individually to preserve the texture of the material.
Highly stretchy and incredibly comfortable—you won't want to take it off once you put it on—this new staple material is perfect for layering.
This garment is crafted from a thin, high-gauge fabric, which is considered difficult to work with, and finished with meticulous attention to detail.
The raw edges of the hem, sleeves, and pockets, as well as the gathers on the yoke and cuffs, are all finished in sewing factories within Japan.
It is finished with a shell button featuring the brand logo engraved on the back.
It features a boxy silhouette with ample width.
The drape when worn and the raw-edged hem give this shirt a unique and distinctive look.
To allow you to fully appreciate the material, we minimize the use of interlining, allowing the silhouette to be constructed solely from the texture of the fabric.

KANEMASA PHIL. has been taking care of everything from the material to the sewing and dyeing process, as the name implies. The fabric is salt-shrunk processed in its original state. The unique texture of this material makes it one-of-a-kind. After that, product dyeing is applied.
A special soft-dyeing process is applied to the fabric, and the fabric is dyed in such a way that the fall and sheer texture of the material can be seen more clearly. Each garment is dried naturally to maintain the texture of the material.
This is a new standard material that is highly stretchable and once you put it on, you can't stop wearing it, and you can wear it without hesitation.
The high gauge material, which is said to be thin and difficult to work with, is finished with meticulous detailing. The hem, sleeves, pockets, yoke, gathers at the cuffs, etc. are finished at a sewing factory in Japan. It is finished with shell butterfly buttons with the brand logo engraved on the back.
It features a box silhouette with a firm body width. The drape of the shirt when worn and the cut-out hem give it a unique atmosphere.
The silhouette is constructed with only the texture of the fabric by not using interlining as much as possible so that you can enjoy the material.

The Artisan Shirt, a favorite among many, quickly became a staple after its release.
I've forgotten which season this is, but it's a piece that many people love.
The hem is raw-edged, and the interlining of the placket and cuffs is slightly visible.
It has a rustic feel while also being sophisticated. It's my favorite shirt!
In the summer, you can easily wear this with a tank top. It's really great.
This is really good.
Also, please rest assured that the fabric will become softer and more comfortable with repeated wear, and will no longer stick to your body. Wear and wash it roughly.

Brand Concept
KANEMASA PHIL. is an original brand of a circular knitwear manufacturer based in Wakayama City, Wakayama Prefecture, which originated from Kanemasa Knitwear Co., Ltd., founded in 1964.
To ensure the continuation of our unique knitting machines specializing in high gauge knitting, our jacquard machines capable of freely expressing a variety of patterns, and the distinctive skills and craftsmanship required to operate these machines with ease, our own brand KANEMASA was launched in the Spring/Summer 2021 season. *From the Autumn/Winter 2023 season, coinciding with our overseas launch, the brand name will be changed to "KANEMSA PHIL."
The brand's iconic logo was designed by Clement Johant, and the resulting design blends the historical context of the 1960s, when the company was founded, with European culture.
Based on the concept of "FUTURE CLASSIC / FUTURE VINTAGE," we create clothing for the future as we envision it today. We consider the future and offer a wardrobe that makes the wearer feel comfortable, happy, and joyful.
KANEMASA PHIL. products, which reflect the innovation, creativity, craftsmanship, and tradition we have cultivated and built up over the years, are made without compromise, from materials to design.
PHIL. is derived from the ancient Greek word φίλος (phílos, "beloved"), and is an abbreviation of derived words such as Philosophy ("philosophy," "love of wisdom and knowledge"), philharmony ("love of harmony"), and phile ("lover").
Based on the philosophy of "looking back at history and creating the future," we chose our brand name with the desire to share our products with the world.
